Enda and Siobhan Byrne started work on Past-Avenue in 2014. The layout is not based on any particular location or place, instead the layout is based on their past memories and interests.
They have included memories of growing up, family history and personal places of importance, up to the present day. They have included their parents work places where they would have spent a lot of our time, such as the creamery and garage. They have also included their current business, so the names given to shops or businesses are relevant.
The race track is inspired by a keen interest in motorsport, and they have included vehicles that they used to drive also. The sea and camping are also included on the layout.
The trains are mostly Irish diesel locos ranging from the 1950s to the present day.
